What others say about GP Chambers

"GP chambers [the concept,] provide real advantages for freelance practitioners. I support the concept and wish this venture well"

Sir Graeme Catto, President, The College of Medicine

"The coming together of doctors to peer-regulate and scrutinise their practice collectively, can be a helpful way of reducing isolation, increasing the validity of their reflections, and gathering good supporting information for their appraisal in as efficient a way as possible."

Dr Maurice Conlon, Programme Director, NHS Revalidation Support team.

"I am delighted to learn about these Chambers. I unreservedly approve of it, and of its role in supporting locum GPs"

Dr Bashir Qureshi,  Freelance GP, BMA Sessional Sub-committee member, expert witness

"GPs finally have the opportunity to support each other in doing what they do best but more easily. Freelancers and practices can safely and swiftly work together with reduced admin and better preparation for revalidation. Chambers are warmly welcomed."

Dr Anjlee Sheth, GP Principal

"General practice can be a lonely place for young and old GPs, sometimes there is not enough time to share the experiences and at others you may be unable to find anybody to talk to at all. As a GP for 31 years working across in hours and out of hours, I still need the camaraderie of my partners to survive. That is why I am so keen to endorse the aims of GP chambers and have been impressed by their ability to provide support and learning as well as organizational might to freelance GPs. Can I wish Carol and her team the best of luck in setting up the Thames Valley Chambers and I look forward to working with her soon."

Dr David LLoyd, GP Principal GP tutor, co-founder of the GP cooperative Harmoni

"A structured focus on quality and training offers these doctors a chance to be well prepared for re-validation. The peer support element is essential for all busy professionals."

Dr Pawan Randev, GP Appraiser, GP Principal and Primary Care Cancer Lead
